Being called a lightworker has become popular amongst social media users to attract followers and be seen as spiritual gurus. When you see this, run like the wind to blow away from the latest trend which is egoic. 

I believe that we all share one purpose of serving others to illuminate the ascension path with compassion and love💕 

We are all equal although at different stages in the journey. Some are more awakened and serve as role models & leaders. Before you get too excited and think you’re taking the express elevator straight up, know that you chose an assignment when you agreed to be reincarnated. And that assignment can be analogous to a roller coaster going up, down, and looping around. This unpredictability can make you feel off balance & wonder how such a pure intention of serving the light can cause your own internal darkness.

The lightworker's journey can be fraught with fear as the ego lurks in the shadows of your mind. The gifts of knowing and seeing what others cannot cause emotional pain. Being gifted in a way that causes you to feel different and not follow societal norms of behavior. Whilst we believe our main purpose is serving others, we tend to forget to put on our oxygen mask first. Leaving us feeling depleted as we use all of our resources for others without tending to our own needs. This has always been my biggest challenge. Resulting from my own personal trauma and coping skills. As an act of survival, I sacrificed my own basic needs even giving away my last water purification tablet while mountain climbing as I didn’t want my climbing partner to suffer. I was always willing to ‘take the hit’ for others whether they asked or not. 

Many lightworkers wear suffering like a badge of courage to validate they are fulfilling their purpose. 

Eventually, they become disoriented and veer off the course of discovering who they really are. Like Hansel & Gretel leaving breadcrumbs for someone to find you. Upon awakening, you realize the breadcrumbs were the journey of finding yourself. Isn’t the main reason we reincarnated to learn lessons and serve others by opening up to higher wisdom? 😇 Are you wondering how to balance tending to your own needs with being selfless?
